Sumer Rohrs is arguably the most decorated athlete in the history of Frostburg State athletics following a four-year career for the track & field program.
 
Rohrs holds the program record with six National Championships, collecting three in both the indoor and outdoor seasons. Rohrs was a nine-time All-American, nine-time Eastern College Athletic Conference Champion, 13-time Mason-Dixon Conference Champion, 16-time All-ECAC selection and a 21-time All-Mason-Dixon Conference honoree.
 
Rohrs earned three-consecutive National Championships during the indoor season in the 55-meter hurdles. During her final season, she was named the Female Track Athlete of the Meet for the NCAA Indoor Championships after taking her third-straight National Title in the 55 hurdles in 7.84 seconds, setting the NCAA Division III meet record that still stands today.
 
She earned her fourth-consecutive ECAC Championship in the 55-meter hurdles and won a total of 10 events in her final indoor season.
 
She capped her career with two National Championships during the outdoor season in the 100-meter hurdles (13.77) and the 400-meter hurdles (60.05) and was named the Female Track Athlete of the Meet for the 2009 NCAA Outdoor Championships. She was honored with three United States Track & Field and Cross Country Coaches Association (USTFCCCA) awards after her historic season; the USTFCCCA Division III National Outdoor Athlete of the Year, the USTFCCCA Mideast Region Track Athlete of the Year and the USTFCCCA Outdoor Scholar Athlete of the Year.
 
As a junior, Rohrs won her first outdoor National Championship, winning the 100-meter hurdles with a time of 13.68 seconds, a time that ranks fifth all-time in Division III history. During the indoor season, she won a National Title behind the nation’s fastest time that season (7.96) in the 55-meter hurdles and was named the NCAA Mideast Region Track Athlete of the Year for the second-straight season.
 
As a sophomore, Rohrs became the first women’s indoor National Champion in program history in an individual event in the indoor season, winning the 55-meter hurdles with a time of 8.09.
 
As of her induction, Rohrs holds individual school records in the 55 (7.84) and 60-meter hurdles (8.67) as well the 100 (13.68) and 400-meter hurdles (60.05).
