Billye Hollister was a dominant, left-handed pitcher for the Frostburg State baseball team from 2002-03 and again in 2005 and 2006. He helped lead the Bobcats to 109 wins over his four-year career with two appearances in the NCAA Tournament and he capped his time at Frostburg by being named an American Baseball Coaches Association Second Team All-American.
 
Hollister is currently second in program history in career games (52) and tied for second in program history with 26 wins over his four years. He is third in the record books in starts (35), third in innings pitched (247.2) and fourth in strikeouts (230). Hollister was named to Allegheny Mountain Collegiate Conference Co-Player of the Year and an all-conference first-team selection during both his junior and senior seasons.
 
During his final season, Hollister garnered All-American honors and he was also the ABCA Mid-Atlantic Region Pitcher of the Year and an ABCA Mid-Atlantic Region First Team honoree. He earned 10 wins in 15 appearances and led the Allegheny Mountain Collegiate Conference in innings pitched (86.2) and strikeouts (80). He was named AMCC Co-Player of the Year and AMCC First Team selection for the second-consecutive year.
 
As a junior in 2005, Hollister finished with seven wins on the mound, including four victories against the AMCC and he paced the Bobcats in appearances (14), starts (12), complete games (5), innings pitched (82.1) and strikeouts (80).
 
Hollister garnered his first All-AMCC award as a sophomore after he was named to the honorable mention team. That season, he finished 5-2 overall with a team-best 54 strikeouts and a team-high 56 innings pitched.
 
As a freshman in 2002, Hollister tied for the team lead with four wins, paced the Bobcats with three saves and struckout 16 batters.
