Football … 1971-1974- Four-year starter at running back. At time of induction into Hall of Fame, he held 7 FSC records. Career records included: most Td’s (19), most yardage rushing (2490), most rushing attempts (693), most plays (711), and most points scored (116). Season records: most rushing attempts (251) and most plays (255), both in 1971. He was second on the FSC seasonal list with 54 points scored in 1971, and second and third in rushing yardage with 797 in 1971 and 791 in 1974. His 182 yards rushing in 22 carries vs. Gallaudet in 1971 ranked second in FSC single game rushing yardage.. Led team in rushing three years, 1971, 1973 (486), and 1974. Also led team in scoring twice: 1971 and 1974. Scored 9 Td’s in ’71, 2 in ’72, one in ’73 and 6 in 1974. Averaged 3.49 yards per carry in career. Team MVP, 1974. Best offensive player award, 1974. Back of the year, 1971. All-Maryland College mention, 1971.
Baseball … 1972-75- A fine relief pitcher for four years. Had a 5-2 won-lost record with 2 saves and a 3.79 ERA in career. Relived in 18 games, started 5. Pitched a total of 61 2/3 innings, allowing 60 hits and 48 walks, and striking out 52. Best seasons were 1973 when he was 3-0 and 1974 when he was 2-1 and allowed only 2 earned runs in 25 innings for an ERA of 0.72.
