Kim Creighton was a two-time All-American for the Frostburg State University field hockey team while helping the squad to three appearances in the NCAA Tournament.
Creighton, who earned All-American status as both a senior and sophomore, helped the Bobcats to a 49-20-3 overall record during her four years, one of the highest win totals during any four-year stretch in school history.
In her final year with FSU, Creighton collected numerous accolades including national and regional All-American honors and Kutztown Invitational All-Tournament team honors. She also won FSU’s Most Outstanding Attack Award after setting the school’s single-season scoring record with 22 goals and three assists.
Creighton helped Frostburg State to just its second-ever victory in the NCAA Tournament as a junior. FSU defeated Gettysburg 1-0 on penalty shots in round one before losing to No. 1 ranked Salisbury, 3-1, in the second round. As a team, FSU won the Kutztown and FSU Invitationals and was crowned ESAC Champions. She also was voted as the team’s Most Outstanding Attack Award Winner.
As a sophomore, Creighton helped the Bobcats tie the school record for wins in a season (15) on her way to winning both national and regional All-American honors for the first time in her career, along with ESAC First Team honors. The Bobcats as a team won the Kutztown Invitational, FSU Invitational and the ESAC Championship while appearing in the NCAA Tournament for the third-straight season. Creighton set a school record for goals in a game after scoring four against UMBC.
In her first year, Creighton scored five goals and two assists and helped FSU appear in the NCAA Tournament.
