Football … Four letters in four seasons. One of the most outstanding all-round linemen in Frostburg State College football history. Started primarily as a defensive tackel and nose guard, but also excelled as an offensive guard and center at some point in his career. He was noted for his great quickness at 6 foot, 215 pounds.
The team Most Valuable Player in 1972. All-Maryland College Team mention in 1972.

Following his graduation, Dick played for one season with the New England Colonials of the Continental Football League.

Other Sports … In addition to his four seasons of football, Dick lettered two years in wrestling and one year in track. Wrestling in the heavywieght class in 1971-72, he had a 6-3 won-lost record and pinned his opponent four times. In the 1972 track season, he won the javelin event twice in dual and triangular meets, and also recorded three second-place and two thrid-place finishes. His best mark was 163 ft., 4 in.
