Baseball … Honorable Mention All-American in 1966. N.A.I.A. National Stolen Base Champ in 1967 (43 in 28 games). Career Batting Average of .330 (.261, .456, .322, and .288). His .456 batting average in 1966 is third on all-time FSC season list and led team. Bob's 26 hits and 29 total bases led team in 1966. Led team in runs scored in 1965 and 67, and his 4 homers in '67 toed for team leadership. Stole 13, 25, 43, and 29 bases for a total of 110, second highest in FSC history. Played outfield primarily, but saw action at shortstop and second base.
Soccer … Three letters in three seasons. Starting goalie two years, outside right one year. Bob was outstanding goalie.
Track … One letter in two seasons. Teams No.1 man in 100, 220 and high jump both years. Competed in too few meets to earn letter one season. Best performances: 100-10.1, 220-22.3, high jump 6', long jump 19'1/2, and triple jump 40'5".
Basketball … Two letters in two seasons, Bob scored 134 total points and was an occasional starter but usually was the sixth man both years.
Letters … Earned a combined 10 letters in four sports.
