Yarnall earned All-American honors in each of her four years, including a pair of awards as a senior in 1998. She was a 17-time All-Mason-Dixon Conference selection and was a two-time conference champion.
As a senior in 1998, Yarnall earned both indoor and outdoor All-American honors after finishing fifth in the 55-meter hurdles (indoor) and third in the 100-meter hurdles (outdoor) at the NCAA Championships. She was also an NCAA outdoor qualifier in the 400-meter hurdles.
During both the indoor and outdoor seasons, she totaled seven wins and earned six All-Mason-Dixon Conference honors.
Yarnall earned her highest finish at the NCAA Championships as a junior in 1997 after finishing runner-up in the 100-meter hurdles during the outdoor season. She posted wins at five different meets and was the Mason-Dixon Conference Champion in the 100-meter hurdles.
Yarnall earned her second-straight fifth place finish in the 100-meter hurdles at the NCAA Outdoor Championships in 1996. She earned All-Mason-Dixon Conference honors and set the meet record at the Frostburg Invitational in the same event.
Yarnall was also a key part of a very successful 4x100-meter relay squad that spring. The foursome took first at the Frostburg Invitational, finished second at the Mason-Dixon Conference Championships and eventually qualified for the NCAA Outdoor Championships.
As a freshman in 1995, Yarnall earned her first All-American award after finishing fifth at the NCAA Outdoor Championships in the 100-meter hurdles. That same spring season, she earned a Mason-Dixon Championship in 100 hurdles and earned all-conference honors in the 400-meter hurdles.
