F.S.U. achieved both national and international recognition during his 19-year tenure as Athletic Director. His significant influence and efforts on the international level brought worldwide athletic involvement for F.S.U. athletes and created student exchange programs and goodwill ventures with all corners of the globe. In 1970 and 1974, F.S.U. hosted the Czechoslovakian national basketball teams, a Peruvian basketball team in 1976 and the Danish gymnastics team in 1974. In 1971-72 the F.S.U. basketball team toured Czechoslovakia. His work opened the door for subsequent international ventures for F.S.U. teams with England and Canada.

Established and maintained one of the most renowned physical education major programs in the world and is greatly responsible for a large number of outstanding teachers, coaches, trainers, and recreation leaders in public and private service.
Perhaps his ultimate accomplishment is the F.S.U. Physical Education Center. Years of dedication and planning have resulted in a facility that is second to none at the Division III level.
