Football … Four letters in four seasons. Generally considered the most outstanding fullback in FSC history at the time of his induction into the Hall of Fame. A cruising runner with fine speed, he attracted the interest of the professional scouts. Statistics were unrecorded for his first two seasons, but in 1965 and 1966 he gained 899 yards, 898 of them by rushing. He averaged 4.4 and 3.8 yards per carry in 1965 and 1966, scored five touchdowns and gained 191 yards as a pass receiver in those two years, "Back of the Year" Award in 1966. Back of the week award seven times in his last three seasons.
