At the time of his induction, Zumpano ranked second in school history in career walks, seventh in runs scored, eighth in runs batted in, tied for eighth in home runs and ninth in hits. As a sophomore, he appeared in all 34 games and led the team with four sacrifices as the Bobcats advanced to the NCAA Division III Tournament and finished 24th in the final national rankings.

As a junior, Zumpano led the Bobcats in 10 offensive categories, recorded a school single-season record six sacrifice flies and earned Team Most Valuable Player, All-ESAC, All-South Region and honorable mention All-America honors.

As a senior, Zumpano repeated with Team MVP, All-ESAC and honorable mention All-America accolades while leading Frostburg State in seven more offensive categories. Despite playing only three of his four years in the outfield, Zumpano finished with 145 putouts, 10 assists and 163 chances to rank in top five all-time in each category.

He is one of only four outfielders to participate in three double plays. The Bobcats posted an impressive 90-46 overall record in his four seasons.
