Gina Bowman left her mark on the Frostburg State track and field program as one of the most successful athletes in team history. She was a three-time All-American in the shot put and broke five school records in that same event.

As a senior, she finished fourth at both the NCAA Indoor and Outdoor Championships. Bowman was named FSU’s Female Athlete of the Year and the Most Outstanding Thrower. She was named to the All-Eastern College Athletic Conference team, All-Mason-Dixon Conference Indoor and Outdoor squads and All-East Track & Field team.

In her junior season, she earned All-American honors after taking sixth in the shot put at the NCAA Outdoor Championships. She was an ECAC Champion, Mason-Dixon Conference Indoor Champion, All-East Track & Field selection and FSU’s Most Outstanding Thrower.

As a sophomore, she was an All-East Track & Field selection and a Mason-Dixon Conference Champion in both the indoor and outdoor seasons. She was an ECAC Champion in both the shot put and discus, named FSU’s Most Outstanding Thrower and was the school’s top point scorer.

In her first season with the Bobcats, she earned All-American honors, was an All-ECAC selection and a Mason-Dixon Conference Champion.
