Swimming … The first FSU athlete to win All-American honor all four years. Division III national champion in the 200-yd. backstroke in the 1981-82 season. Accomplished these other backstroke finishes in the national championships: 1980-81 – 4th in the 200, 7th in the 100, 8th in the 50; 1981-82 – 3rd in the 100, 9th in the 50; 1982-83 – 7th in the 200, 10th in the 100, 8th in the 50; 1983-84 – 4th in teh200, 5th in the 100.
At the time of her induction into the Bobcat Hall of Fame, she held 4 individual team records and shared in 2 team relay records: the 100- and 200-yd. backstroke, the 100- and 400-yd. individual medleys, and the 200- and 400-yd. medley relays. At one time she also held FSU records in the 200- and 500-yd. freestyle, the 50 yd. backstroke, the 100- and 200-yd. butterfly, the 200-yd. individual medley, and the 200-, 400- and 800-yd. freestyle relays. She holds the FSU pool record for the 50-yd. backstroke and previously held 3 others.
