Football … As the starting quarterback for four years at FSC, Jim set many offensive records. His career total offense of 3, 024 yards and his career passing offense of 2,302 yards are both all time school records. In his career he rushed for 722 yards, completed 41.5% of his passes, kicked 14 of 17 extra points attempts, and kicked 2 field goals. Jim threw 17 T.D.s passes in 4 seasons and scored 6 T.D.s in his last two seasons. Selected as the All- Maryland college kicking specialist two seasons, was the team MVP in 1969, won the outstanding FSC back Award twice (1968 and 1969). And was voted team's Back of the Week award 5 times in his first two seasons before the award was discontinued.

Tennis … In his three seasons, Jim had a career single record of 18-11. Played #1 position in 1969 and #2 position in 1967 and 1968.

Baseball … In one season of baseball (1970), Jim led the team in stolen bases (18). Used primarily as a pinch-runner, he scored 22 runs and played in 29 of teams 38 games.

Letters … Earned eight letters – four in football, three in tennis and one in baseball.
