Tennis … Two letters in two seasons, 1970 and 1971. First woman to play official intercollegiate athletics at Frostburg State – before the introduction of a regular women’s intercollegiate program. First woman, and at the time of induction the only woman, to compete on a men’s team. First woman to be inducted into the Bobcat Hall of Fame.

Her two year record on the men’s tennis team:
1970 -
#3 singles player – 6 wins, 1 loss; #2 doubles player – 2 wins, 1 loss
1971 -
#2 singles player – 5 wins, 1 loss; #2 doubles player – 2 wins, 3 losses
Overall two-year record: 15-6

Post-college tennis experience highly succesful:
1973 – Member of U.S. Professional Tennis Association
1974 – Played in Virginia Slims Tourney – Ranked 12th in Mid-Atlantic states
1975-76 – Played in numerous professional West Coast Tourneys.
1980 – Invited to play in Avon Tennis Futures Circuit
Served as tennis pro at Quantico Marine Corps Base (1973) and Prince William County, Va. (1974). Won over 300 trophies and earned over $25,000 in prize money. Competed against Chris Evert Lloyd, Nancy Richey, Alice Tym, Peaches Barkowitz, Betty Pratt and Uta Hegberg and was at one time coached by Althea Gibson.
