Baseball Coach … Winningest coach in Frostburg State College history. Had overall record of 342-176-3 in 16 years. Coached team to a 5th place finish in NAIA 1972 World Series. NAIA area 8 coach of the year, 1972. NAIA District Coach of the year 1970-72. TSCBCA Coach of the year, 1970, ’72. Maryland intercollegiate coach of the year, 1969. His teams won 8 NAIA district bids, winning 3 times. Won one NAIA District area crown (1972). Teams won the MIC title 5 times- (1965-69), the PIC crown in 1970, the Mason-Dixon Tourney in 1978 and placed second in the ECAC Eastern Tourney in 1979. His Bobcats attained these national ranking in the college-Division: 19th in 1967, 20th in 1969, 15th in 1970, 9th in 1971, 5th in 1972, 18th in 1973, 13th in 1974, 23rd in 1975, and 14th in 1976. Club won over 30 games four times-( 31in 1971 and 1972, 30 in 1973, 35 in 1976) and over 20 games 9 times.

Basketball Coach … As interim coach in the 1967-68 season, his team was 13-5 and won the MIC title. He was named MIC coach of the year.

Athletic Director … Served as Athletic Director from January 1977 to June 1978.

Teacher … Named Sigma Tau Gamma’s instructor of the year in 1969 and also in 1976.
