Baseball … Four letters in four seasons. Generally regarded as the most outstanding catcher in FSC history at the time of his induction. Second team All-American in 1972. All-Area and 1st team in 1972. All-District 1st team in 1970, 1971, and 1972. Played in TSCBCA All-Star game 3 times. Honorable mention All-American, 1970. Team captain 1970, 1971 and in the 1972 NAIA World Series. Tremendous defensive catcher and team leader. Career figures: .273 batting average, 70 RBI’s, 7 doubles, 9 triples, 2 home runs, 108 hits. Played in more games (141) than any other player in Bobcat history to date. Led team in triples in 1969 and bases on balls in 1970.
