Baseball … Four letters in four seasons. Outstanding left-handed fast ball pitcher. Career statistics include: 16 wins, 9 losses, 3.30 ERA, 182 and a third innings pitched, 37 games pitched, 33 starts, 146 hits, 133 walks and 177 strikeouts.

His best seasons were in 1969 (5-1 record, 2.66 ERA, 46 strikeouts) and in 1971 (7-1 record, 2.08 ERA, 79 strikeouts). Led the team in those two seasons in win-lost percentage, ERA, games started, innings pitched, strikeouts and was tied for the lead in ins and shutouts. In 1970 he was tied for the team leadership in games started and shutouts.

At the time of his induction he had pitched the only no-hit, no-run game of seven innings or more recorded in FSC history (1970 vs. Shepherd) and ranked as follows in the College’s career records: 3rd in games started (33), 4th in innings pitched (182-1/3), wins (16) and strikeouts (177), and 5th in games pitched (37). Hank’s FSC seasoned rankings include a tie for 4thin games started (10 in 1970), 5th in strikeouts (79 in 1971) and won-lost percentage (.875 in 1971), and 6th in ERA (2.08 in 1971).

Honorable mention All-American in 1970; All-District 18 NAIA in 1969; FSC’s Most Valuable Pitcher Award, 1969 and 1970. Played in TSCBCA All-Star Game at Three Rivers Stadium, 1971.

Other Sports … Played football as a freshman in 1967 and started at end.
