Track … Four letters in four seasons. A three-time All-American. In 1978he was an indoor All-American in the indoor 2-mile run and the outdoor 5000-meter run; in ’79 he was an NCAA Division III All-American in the 10,000-meter run.

Won nine Mason-Dixon Conference championships. In 1978, he was the indoor Conference champion in the indoor mile-run, the 2-mile run and the outdoor 3-mile run; in ’79 he won the indoor 2-mile, the outdoor 5,000-meter and 10,000-meter runs; in ’80 he won the indoor mile and 2-mile and outdoor 5,000-meter runs. He was the winner of the Mason-Dixon Conference “Most Valuable Performer” award twice at the ’79 outdoor and ’80 indoor championships.

Held two FSC track and field records at the time of his induction. In nine of these marks he broke his own record, establishing for the first time only the 2-mile relay mark.

Held the Bobcat Stadium record in the three-mile run of 14:21.4, set in ’78. Won many and individual 1st places and also set numerous FSC class records.

Cross Country … Four letters in four seasons. 1979 M-D Conference champion. Won 1st place in 16 meets, second in three, and third in two. Developed after his freshman year and had great years in 1977, ’78 and ’79. In his last three seasons he won nine of 10 dual or triangular meets entered.

Finished 32nd of 251 runners in the ’78 Penn State Open, then 25th of 236th in ’79. Won the Mason-Dixon Championships after earlier 10th and third places. Was 32nd of 138 runners in the ’78 Mid-East Regional, but was 2nd of 161 in ’79. Competed in NAIA National meet twice and in NCAA Division III Nationals in 1979.
