Peter Merrill is the all-time leading scoring in the history of the Frostburg men's soccer program following a standout four-year career from 1995-98.

Merrill finished his career with program records in both points (134) and goals (55), while setting the single-season scoring record with 20 goals as a senior. As a junior, Merrill was named the Gill Gray Award winner that is given to a player who exemplifies the desire for excellence in his intellectual, physical and spiritual self.

During his final year, Merrill was selected as an All-Division and All-Region Scholar Athlete by the National Soccer Coaches Association (NSCAA) and he was the Eastern College Athletic Conference (ECAC) Merit Award Winner.

Merrill helped the Bobcats to three-straight ECAC South Region Tournaments and the 1998 Allegheny Mountain Collegiate Conference (AMCC) Championship trophy.

He was a two-time All-AMCC selection and was voted the AMCC Athlete of the Week four times. FSU won a total of 56 games during Merrill's four years.
