Alan Sebold was a three-year letter winner for the Frostburg baseball team and he helped power the Bobcats to the ECAC South Tournament in each of his three seasons.

At the time of his nomination, Sebold held the Frostburg career record for three-year players in batting average (.388), hits (114), doubles (21) and sacrifice flies (8).

Sebold was named to the All-Allegheny Mountain Collegiate Conference team at catcher as a senior and he helped Frostburg to 28 wins and the AMCC Championship in the school’s first year in the league.

As a junior, Sebold was named to the All-ECAC Mid-Atlantic Second Team, while as a sophomore, he was selected to the NCAA Division III All-Region Second Team.

During his time as a Bobcat, he twice led Frostburg in batting average, hits, triples, home runs, total bases, slugging percentage and sacrifice flies.

Selected as Frostburg’s team MVP in each of his final two seasons, Sebold was drafted by the Baltimore Orioles of Major League Baseball in 1995.
