SHIPPENSBURG, Pa. – The Frostburg State men's track & field team earned six top-ten finishes as it competed at the Paul Kaiser Track & Field Classic at Shippensburg University, Saturday.
Final ResultsFreshman Ian Williams picked up the top finish for the Bobcats with a second-place finish in the 400-meter dash with an ECAC qualifying time of 49.69.
Frostburg also did well in the relays, starting with the 4x400-meter relay team of freshman Jeremiah Parker, senior Matthew Collins, sophomore Sterling Hardy, and junior Anthony Hayden who earned a third-place finish with a time of 3:26.57. The 4x800-meter relay team of freshman Gartee Guar along with the sophomore trio of Jeremy Brown, Gregory Horning, and Daniil Repchenko was able to grab a fifth-place finish (8:58.66).
Junior Curtis Buckland led the group of throwers as he finished seventh in the discus with a toss of 41.84 meters. Senior Trey Davis was able to finish eighth in the hammer throw with a distance of 44.57 meters.
Rounding out the top-ten finishes was junior Christopher Rickell, who also earned an eighth-place finish in the high jump (1.80 meters).
The Bobcats return to action this Saturday and Sunday when they travel to Christopher Newport for the CAC Outdoor Championships.
