FROSTBURG, Md. – The Frostburg State Men's Tennis team closed out their home season with a 5-2 victory over Salem (WV) on Thursday.

Senior Noah Fisher and freshman Tiago Iser took a 6-3 win at No. 3 doubles, while the Tigers earned a 6-4 decision at No. 2, with the meet point coming down to No. 1, which the visitors came out on top at 6-3.

FSU came right back in singles play, as seniors Cole Alcala (7-5, 6-2) and German Diaz (6-2, 6-2) swept at Nos. 1 and 2, respectively. Fisher closed out a commanding 6-1, 6-1 victory at No. 6, as freshman Gabriel Carrillo secured the meet victory at No. 4 at 7-6, 6-4. The only Bobcat loss in singles play came due to an injury at No. 5, as Iser won 7-5, 6-3 at No. 3.

With the win, Frostburg improves to 8-9 on the year, while Salem drops to 3-12. FSU will next hit the road for their season finale against Fairmont State on Sunday, April 26 at 1 p.m. Information and updates will be posted to frostburgsports.com.
