FROSTBURG, Md. – The Frostburg State Men's Tennis team dropped their home match against Davis & Elkins 5-2 on Wednesday.

D&E began the meet by taking each of the first two doubles matches at 6-3 and 6-1. FSU was able to take one match at No. 3, with senior Noah Fisher and freshman Tiago Iser combining for a 7-5 victory.

In singles play, the Bobcats got their first meet point through senior German Diaz taking a 6-4, 6-4 sweep at No. 2. Classmate Cole Alcala earned another win in a 6-3, 0-6, 6-3 battle at No. 1, however the Senators took sweeps at Nos. 4-6 to earn the meet victory. Iser came closest to picking up another win, taking his first set 7-6 before falling 6-3, 6-0 in the last two.

With the loss, Frostburg drops to 6-8 on the year, while Davis & Elkins improves to 8-3. FSU next will host West Virginia State on Friday, April 17 at 3 p.m. Information and updates will be posted to frostburgsports.com.
