FAIRMONT, W. Va. – The Frostburg State Men's Wrestling team fell to No. 5 Gannon on Sunday afternoon by a 29-10 final.

GU began the meet by taking a major decision at 125 before a top-10 bout at 133. The Golden Knights put up the nation's top-ranked wrestler by NWCA in Jeremiah Echevarria against FSU's freshman standout Tanner Halling, ranked 10
th by the organization. It would be the biggest win of Halling's young career, taking an 8-4 decision victory to get the Bobcats on the board.

Sophomore Chase Bell then just missed out on another upset bid at 141, falling 11-10 to the No. 8 wrestler in Jake Niffenegger. Gannon then took a 10-4 decision at 149 before senior Nico D'Amico picked up a 10-6 decision at 157 to bring the match score to 10-6. GU ramped things up over the next four bouts, earning three tech falls and a major decision to surge ahead 29-6. Junior Gavin Bage ended the meet on a high note for FSU, earning an 8-0 major decision at 285 to bring the final to 29-10.
