FROSTBURG, Md. – The Frostburg State men's wrestling team celebrated its seniors at its final home dual of the year with a 53-0 decision over Davis & Elkins on Saturday. 
 
FSU started off the day honoring its four seniors in Alex Blake, Nico D'Amico, Nick McCarthy and Dylan Montgomery as they conclude their collegiate careers. 
 
After D&E forfeited the 125 match, the Bobcats sent the top rated 133 lb wrestler in the country to the mat in freshman Tanner Halling, who won in commanding fashion with a pin 1:53 into the first period. Montgomery followed up at 141 and used an early takedown to score back points three times and pick up a 16-0 tech fall to put the meet score at 17-0. 
 
Junior Gage Heilbrun looked strong as well, pinning his opponent in just over a minute before D'Amico won a three-period technical fall, scoring in each period and controlling the match with three takedowns and 16-1 score. Continuing the dominance, junior Mason Buckler had the shortest match to that point, winning by pin in 37 seconds at 165, while at 174, freshman Parker Intrieri had a takedown in each period and took a 13-4 major decision with the riding time point to lead 38-0. 
 
Sophomore Andrew Wolfanger got the Bobcats their fifth first period win on the afternoon, earning a technical fall 17-1 before McCarthy had three takedowns, a career-high, in taking another major decision 15-5. Junior Gavin Bage capped off the dual with a fall just 15 seconds into the 285 match, bringing the final to 53-0.
 
It was Frostburg's highest margin of victory since reestablishing the program as well as its first shutout of the year. FSU ends its regular season with a 7-6 team dual record and will return to action at the end of the month when they head to East Stroudsburg for the NCAA Regional Tournament on Saturday, February 28.
