FROSTBURG, Md. – The Frostburg State Men's Wrestling team returned to dual action with a 22-16 victory over Seton Hill on Thursday night.
 
The sides traded major decisions in the first four bouts, with SHU taking the 125 and 141 lb matchups, with junior Thierno Diallo winning 16-5 at 133 and freshman Gage Heilbrun victorious 15-2 for an 8-8 match tie.
 
Freshman Mason Buckler gave FSU the lead at 157 lbs, earning a 7-1 decision to go up by three. Keeping the win streak going, freshman Liam DeBaugh took a 15-2 major decision to put the Bobcats ahead 15-8.
 
The Griffins responded with a major decision at 174 lbs, but junior Nick McCarthy got Frostburg back on track with an 8-3 decision win at 184. In the penultimate bout, Seton Hill scored a major decision at 197 lbs to keep their meet hopes alive down just 18-16. At 285 lbs, freshman Gavin Bage stepped up and put forward a 14-6 major decision victory to seal the win 22-16.
 
With the victory, Frostburg improves to 12-12 on the year, while Seton Hill falls to 5-10. The Bobcats return home on Sunday, February 12 to face Davis & Elkins at 3 p.m. Information and updates will be posted to frostburgsports.com.
