ERIE, Pa. – The Frostburg State Men's Tennis team fell to Edinboro on the road by a final of 7-0 on Saturday afternoon.

The Fighting Scots opened the match by winning the doubles point, earning a 6-2 win at the No. 3 pairing and a forfeit at No. 2. The top match that featured sophomores Cole Alcala and German Diaz was stopped with a 5-5 tie, as no winner was declared. 

Alcala put up a fight in his singles match, falling in close scores of 7-5, 6-3, while Diaz dropped his match with a 6-3, 6-2 fight. Freshman Viktor Boban was up in his match after taking the first set 6-3 but was unable to continue due to injury after falling behind 0-1 in set two. The Fighting Scots took each of the singles matches to complete the 7-0 sweep on the day. 

With the loss, Frostburg falls to 2-2 on the year, as Edinboro improves to 6-1. The Bobcats have a quick turn around as they stay in Erie to face Mercyhurst at 3 PM on Sunday, February 25. For more information and updates, please visit frostburgsports.com.
