Mastria Headlines Pentathlon Trio for Women's Track & Field at Bucknell Invite

LEWISBURG, Pa. – A trio of Frostburg State Women's Track & Field athletes competed at the two-day Bison Open and Invite from Friday to Saturday.

Senior Erin Haviland, sophomore Bella Mastria, and freshman Reghan Sivic each took their chances against competition from all three NCAA divisions during the Indoor Pentathlon. Mastria took FSU's highest spot with a fourth-place finish, second-best among Division II athletes, with a total score of 2,778, which is also good enough for fifth all-time in program history. Her top events featured a pair of runner-up placements in the high jump (1.49m) and the long jump (5.22m).

Sivic's total of 1,860 puts her eighth in school history, as she had her top finish in the long jump as well at 4.14m. Haviland was unable to complete the final event, the 800m run, ending her score at 1,777, though she impressed in the shot put, putting up the second-best throw at 9.53m.

Frostburg will return in the new year to travel to Youngstown State on Friday, January 17. Information and updates will be posted to frostburgsports.com.
