LEXINGTON, Va. – The Frostburg State Women's Track & Field team took part in the two-day VMI Winter Relays across Friday and Saturday, placing ninth among all schools.

A pair of program records were set during the meet, starting with senior Valerie Boards resetting her 200m mark in 24.97, becoming the first-ever FSU athlete to run sub-25 seconds. Junior Lucy Crowe also set a personal record 26.78 in the event. Sophomore Sydney Johnson followed up by surging past her record-setting weight throw at 16.23m for second in the event. She also took seventh in the shot put at 10.88m, where classmate Kennedy Simmons set a personal best 8.74m.

In the distance events, freshman Leah Magda continued her ascent up the program leaderboard in the 800m, placing sixth as her 2:20.69 puts her third all-time, while junior Emily Wishart's 2:25.27 earned her ninth in the record book.

During the jumps, junior Bella Mastria (5.59m) and freshman Shekinah Jamison (11.66m) both earned second in the long jump and triple jump, respectively, with the latter improving her second-best program leap with a PR.
