INSTITUTE, W.Va. - The Frostburg State Women's Tennis team fell on the road to West Virginia State on Saturday morning with a final score of 6-1.
Frostburg put up a fight to earn a doubles point as freshman Alyssa Kush and sophomore Lorena Pintar were just shy of a victory, falling 6-4. The Bobcats looked to keep their doubles streak going but fell 6-2 in the next two matches.
Pintar would get a singles point for FSU picking up an impressive win with a score of 6-3, 6-1. Sophomore Julia Ramos Bentham put up a solid effort falling short of the comeback victory, 6-1, 6-4.
With the loss, the Bobcats fall to 3-4 on the season while WVSU improves to 2-1. Frostburg will be back in action on Wednesday, March 15 as they will stay on the road to take on Bowie State with an afternoon match time of 3 PM. For more information and updates, please visit www.frostburgsports.com.
