GREENSBURG, Pa. – The Frostburg State Women's Tennis team saw their season come to a close with a 4-1 loss to Charleston (WV) in the first round of the NCAA Atlantic Region Tournament on Friday afternoon.

Looking to complete a season sweep of FSU, UC took the doubles point with a pair of 6-2 victories at Nos. 1 and 3. The Bobcats showed some fight in singles play, as senior Alyssa Kush took a 6-3, 6-3 win at No. 4. In response, the Golden Eagles put 6-0, 6-0 sweeps up at Nos. 5 and 6, eventually securing the meet win with a 6-0, 6-4 win at No. 1. Juniors Ximena Ku and Patricia Casetjon each won their opening sets at Nos. 2 and 3, respectively, before dropping the second, as each of their matches were suspended due to the meet being clinched.

With the loss, Frostburg ends their season at 12-11, while Charleston advances to the second round at 16-6. Â
