HILTON HEAD, S.C. – The Frostburg State Men's Tennis team fell in their third and final match down south, losing to Millikin by a score of 6-3 on Wednesday afternoon.
Frostburg struggled in the doubles competition, dropping all three matches. The team of seniors Dean Waterman and Mason Hordubay put up a solid effort in their match, just coming up short of the victory, falling by a score of 8-7.
The Bobcats were able to get a trio of points in the singles competition, splitting the singles points with the Big Blue. Freshmen German Diaz and Cole Alcala picked up two singles points with Diaz winning his match with a score of 6-1, 6-3 and Alcala earning the 6-3, 6-1 victory. Hordubay was also successful in singles play, earning the hard fought singles point in three sets with a score of 7-6, 0-6, 13-11. Junior Del Carden came up just shy in his singles match, falling by a close score of 4-6, 5-7.
With the loss, Frostburg, falls to 2-8 on the season while Millikin improves to 7-3. The Bobcats will return to action on Wednesday, March 29 as they will host Catholic for a match time of 4 PM. For more information and updates, please visit frostburgsports.com
