Women's Tennis Loses Shortened Home Match to West Virginia Wesleyan

FROSTBURG, Md. - The Frostburg State Women's Tennis team fell to West Virginia Wesleyan by a final score of 5-0 in a match that was shortened by rain, where five singles matches were completed and no doubles matches were played due to weather conditions.

Freshman Lorena Pintar had the top performance on the day, as she had a 6-3, 5-2 match lead before the weather turned sour and prevented the match from being completed, while junior Madison Toothman was the next closest to taking a set in a 6-1, 6-4 loss.

With the result, the women fall to 4-6 on the Spring season, while WVWC improves to 7-7. Frostburg returns to the court on Monday, April 11 for a home match against West Virginia State scheduled to begin at 3 p.m. For information and updates stay tuned at frostburgsports.com.
