FROSTBURG, Md. – The Frostburg State women's tennis team fell short this evening at home after a match against California University of Pennsylvania with a final score of 6-1. This drops the Bobcats to 1-5 and brings the Vulcans to 2-6 on the season.
Sophomore Jen Dieterle earned the lone singles win of the night for Frostburg, defeating Julia McDaniel 6-1, 6-3.
Sophomores Rabiatu Ladan and Elizabeth Hixson pulled out a win in No. 2 doubles, winning 6-3 against Carman Duran and Kylie Feltenberger. Despite the effort, it wasn't enough to secure the point during the doubles match.
Both the men's and women's tennis team are back in action on Sunday, April 18 at Millersville University. Matches are set to begin at 1:00pm. For more information go to www.frostburgsports.com.
