Vaughns and Mullery Lead Bobcats at West Virginia

MORGANTOWN, W.Va – The Frostburg State men's and women's track and field team went to West Virginia to tackle their second meet of the season landing two wins, three runner-up's, and 16 top five finishes.
 
First years Mark Vaughns and Alyssa Mullery posted the two wins for the Bobcats in the 400 hurdles (57.65) and the triple jump (10.80m), respectively. 

First year Nicholas Richardson captured a runner-up spot int the 200-meter (22.19), as well as a fourth-place finish in the 100-meter (10.92).

First year Nathaniel Mesy landed a runner-up position in the 400-meter (50.67). Mesy was also a part of a fourth-place finish in the 4x400 relay (3:38.91) along with first year Matthew Lawson, sophomore Justin Dunklin, and Nsereko Kiwalabye. 

Lawson also landed a fourth-place finish in the 800-meter with a time of 2:05.37.

Senior John Kerns captured three top-five finishes; runner-up in the shot put (13.71m), third in hammer (48.74m), and fourth in discus (43.31m).  
 
Senior Michael Belcher landed a third-place finish in discus (43.88m) and fourth place in hammer (48.41m).
 
First-years Jonathan Jenkins and Rondell Carlton captured top-five finishes in the triple jump. Jenkins with third (12.54m) and Carlton with fifth (12.26m).
 
On the women's side, first-years Alexandra Dean, Molly Wagner, Morgan Mathews, and Baby Jimerson captured a third-place finish in the 4x400 relay with a time of 4:25.82.
 
First year Alexa Bradburn landed a fifth-place finish in discus (32.66).
