FROSTBURG, Md.- The Frostburg State men's and women's tennis teams were both swept 7-0 by the Hilltoppers of West Liberty in the first matches played at Lonnie D. Athey Court this season.

On the women's side, junior Shea Przywieczerski was the lone Bobcat to take multiple games from her opponent, losing 6-4, 6-2 to Jaqueline Pena Aceves. In the No. 6 singles, sophomore Jen Dieterle impressed despite losing in straight sets 6-3, 6-0 to Alexandra Olson.

For the men, the most exciting match of the day came from first-year Origen Grear as he battled to a three-set loss against Isfan Makhmudov. Grear lost set one 6-3 before coming back to win set two 6-4, however Makhmudov was able to take the winning set 10-4.

Grear also paired with senior Geoffrey Goldring as the only doubles team to take games off the Hilltoppers, losing 6-4 to Makhmudov and Derek Roehner.
