FROSTBURG, Md. – The Frostburg State men's tennis team opened its spring home calendar with a 7-0 shutout of Hood, Saturday.
Senior Toheeb Aroworowon and junior Tim Goldring each collected a shutout in their respective singles match. Aroworowon defeated Jake Stubits 6-0, 6-0 at No. 4, while Goldring downed Simon Williams at No. 5, 6-0, 6-0.
First-year Mason Hordubay won his No. 2 singles match over Alex Beaumont, 6-1, 6-0 and graduate student Christian Deynes won No. 3 singles over Alex Blank, 6-1, 6-0.
Aroworowon and Deynes posted a 6-1 victory at No. 2 doubles over Blank and Williams.
FSU returns to action tomorrow at Mt. Aloysius at 1:00 pm
