FROSTBURG, Md. - On Saturday afternoon the women's tennis team faced conference opponent, Christopher Newport, but fell overall 9-0.
The Bobcats fall to 5-5 overall and 1-3 in Capital Athletic Conference (CAC) play.
In doubles play junior Kate Paylor and senior Jenna Lipinski took on Johanna Ronta-Aho and Olivia Reed with a final score of 8-1 in favor of CNU. First-year Shea Przywieczerski, junior Sammi Turner, first-year Cherise Jenkins, and sophomore Sophia Staggers also fell to the Captains with final scores of 8-2 and 8-1.
In singles competition Lipinkski, Jenkins, Przywieczerski, Staggers, and sophomore Satia Harper all fought hard against the Captains. Jenkins and Staggers both took a win for a set.
The Bobcats are back in action tomorrow, Apr. 7 against Salisbury at home with an 11:00 am start.
