ANNAPOLIS, Md. – The Frostburg State men's and women's swimming teams capped the second day of the 2018-19 ECAC Championships with an eighth-place showing in the men's 800-yard freestyle relay, Saturday evening.
The 800 freestyle relay of sophomore Luke Holloway, first-year Adam Stein, sophomore Anthony Giuseppetti and sophomore Brady Peterson finished in eighth place at 7:26.12.
Overall, the Bobcat the men are 13
th in the standings with 41 points behind 12 NCAA Division I schools. Meanwhile, the women sit in 17
th place with 28 points, trailing only 16 NCAA Division I teams in the standings.
The 200-yard medley relay of seniors Emily Turner and Maddie Weinberger, along with juniors Elizabeth Demonte and Megan Culbertson took 13
th in 1:50.36.
The men's 200-yard medley relay of Giuseppetti, Stein, Holloway and first-year Cameron Edwards took home 14
th in 1:40.50.
Individually, Stein touched the wall in 16
th place in the 400-yard IM in 4:29.55.
Both Frostburg teams return to the pool tomorrow for the third and final day of the ECAC Championships starting at 9:00 am tomorrow.
