MORGANTOWN, W.Va. – Senior thrower Holly Van Wie registered a pair of top-10 efforts to lead the Frostburg women's track & field team at the Marty Pushkin Classic at West Virginia University, Friday night.
In total, the Bobcat women collected seven top-10 results on the evening.
Van Wie posted a runner-up showing in the weight throw in 12.57 meters and she finished in 10
th in the shot put in 9.15 meters.
Sophomore Maddison Watson and first-year Camryn Blake each took home an individual top-five finish. Watson was third in the 400-meter dash (1:07.23) and Blake was fifth in the 400-meter dash in 1:08.98.
Together, Watson and Blake joined sophomore Gabbriell Reason and senior Ashleigh Myers for fifth in the 4x400-meter relay in 4:44.40.
Reason and junior Sidonie Brown rounded out the top-10 finishes as Brown was ninth in the 800-meter run in 2:55.64, while Reason was ninth in the 60-meter dash prelims (8.38).
FSU returns to the track next Saturday at Susquehanna University for the Orange & Maroon Classic.
