FAIRMONT, W.Va. – The Frostburg State women's tennis team dropped an 8-0 decision to Fairmont State, Saturday afternoon.
Even though the outcome was a loss for the Bobcats, they held several close matches against Fairmont State.
No. 1 doubles players Kayla Kirk and Kaitlin Lemmert lost an 8-1 decision to Fairmont's Taylor Nichols and Harman Waraich.
In No. 2 singles, the Bobcat's Lemmert lost a close match to Harman Waraich, 6-0, 6-4.
The number three singles match with Bobcat junior Ashley Smith could not be finished due to court availability; however Smith won the first set 6-4.
The No. 5 singles match went into three sets and Frostburg State's Kennedy Logsdon suffered a close defeat, 4-6, 6-4, 10-7.
