FROSTBURG, Md. – Frostburg State surrendered just one goal, but it was all that Washington & Jefferson needed to capture a 1-0 victory in non-conference field hockey action, Wednesday.

Catherine Beaudoin scored an unassisted tally in the 21st minute to give the Presidents (11-5) all the offense they would need. Beaudoin fired a shot into the net off the right post that lifted Washington & Jefferson to its third-straight win.
The Bobcats (6-12) battled through the cold and windy conditions all game but couldn't find the net. W&J held a 16-8 edge in shots.
Bobcat sophomore keeper Megan Grimm made eight saves in the loss, while freshman Alisha Salomon contributed a defensive save.
Frostburg State returns to action this Saturday with a road contest at 12th ranked Mary Washington at 1:00 pm.
