HERSHEY, Pa. – The Frostburg State Women's Tennis team began their spring season on the road against Bloomsburg on Saturday, falling to the Huskies 6-1.
FSU took the first doubles match with a 7-5 win from the pairing of junior Alyssa Kush and senior Lorena Pintar, while Bloomsburg took the other two matches to secure the doubles point, with sophomores Patricia Castejon and Ella Troxell competing in a 7-5 loss in the No. 2 hole.
Kush was able to pick up a win at the top singles spot to give Frostbrug a point off a dominant 6-0 performance, as Pintar and Troxell both put up fights in their looks at singles, winning their second set to take things to a third.
With the loss, Frostburg falls to 1-1 on the year, while Bloomsburg moves to 5-1. The Bobcats return to action on Sunday, March 9 when the team travels to play Harford on the road. For more information visit frostburgsports.com
