BRIDGEPORT, W. Va. - For the second week in a row, sophomores Neila Haney and Jessie Bare received MEC weekly honors, presented by The Health Plan, as announced by the league office.
In a 26-7 victory over Davis & Elkins, Haney had one of her best days in a Bobcat uniform, scoring eight goals and providing four assists for 12 total points in the effort. Her goal scoring was the most in her career and tied for the second-most in a single game in school history, while her 12 points tied for third in program history. She also picked up six draw controls and a pair of groundballs in the win.
Bare helped lead the defensive effort with three caused turnovers and two groundballs, also securing a career-high seven draw controls. At the other end of the field, she scored her first career goal while also dishing out an assist.
