HILTON HEAD, S.C. – The Frostburg State Women's Tennis team lost the first match of their Spring Break trip 6-1 to Grinnell on Monday.

In doubles play, sophomore Alyssa Kush paired with freshman Lauren Ceballos to take one of the three matches 7-5, as the Pioneers won each of the other two by at least three games.

GC played well into the singles matches, winning four of five matches in straight sets to pick up the match victory. Junior Lorena Pintar was a bright spot for the Bobcats, winning her No. 3 match 6-4, 6-0, while Ceballos battled her way to a narrow 6-4, 6-7, 10-8 loss at the second spot.

With the loss, Frostburg falls to 5-5 on the year, while Grinnell improves to 14-1. FSU faces a quick turnaround as they play on Tuesday, March 19 at 9 AM against Carleton. Information and updates will be posted to frostburgsports.com.
