BRIDGEPORT, W.Va. - Frostburg State has been voted the preseason favorite in the 2024 Mountain East Conference Acrobatics & Tumbling Preseason Poll, the league office announced on Tuesday afternoon.
 
Frostburg State received four first-place votes and 24 points during preseason balloting. The Bobcats went 10-3 a season ago and went 5-0 in conference meets, winning their first-ever MEC Regular Season and Tournament Championships in the sport.  FSU earned the No. 7 seed in the NCATA National Tournament a season ago and won an individual national championship in the open pyramid event.  The Bobcats also put up the program's highest meet score of 273.510 against No. 1 ranked Baylor. 
 
Frostburg State returns an experienced roster in 2024, including NCATA All-American Abbie Baker, and All-MEC selections Navah Marierose, Isabella Mongelluzzo, Laiken Spahr and Kaitlin Bolton, as the Bobcats are led by reigning MEC Coach of the Year and NCATA Coach of the Year, Katie Nunley.
