All three teams had one of their most successful events in the Pyramid, as the Bobcats narrowly came out ahead by 0.1 point over the Falcons. Each squad scored at least a 9.50 during a heat, with Frostburg going for back-to-back 9.80 scores in the Synchronized and Open heats, good enough for a 93.70 - 90.10 - 79.35 halftime lead.

Fairmont got themselves back into things by scoring above a 9.0 in all three Toss heats, as the Bobcats were able to match their high score of 9.60 despite falling by a point. The Falcons then regained the lead for the first time since the Compulsory event, taking the Tumbling Event at 53.60, the only team scoring above 50.
