FROSTBURG, Md. – The Frostburg State Men's Tennis team dropped their home match against Bloomsburg by a final score of 5-2 on Friday afternoon.
The standout duo of freshmen German Diaz and Cole Alcala earned a doubles win for FSU, defeating their opponents with a score of 6-4. Sophomore Matt Bolen and senior Dean Waterman put up a solid effort in their doubles match, falling narrowly 7-6.
Diaz and Alcala were also the lone winners in the singles competition for the Bobcats, with Diaz pulling out a 6-0, 6-4 victory and Alcala earning the 6-1, 7-6 win. Bolen fell just shy of success again, taking the first set of his singles match 6-1, but falling in the next two 3-6, 6-10.
With the loss, FSU falls to 4-10 on the year, while Bloomsburg goes to 2-10. The Bobcats have a quick turnaround, as they will travel to face Davis & Elkins on Saturday, April 8 at 12 PM. For more information and updates, please visit frostburgsports.com.
