FROSTBURG, Md. - The Frostburg State Women's Tennis team lost their final match of the 2022-23 season 5-2 to Salem at home on Monday afternoon.
The Tigers started out on the front foot with a sweep in doubles play, as the pairings of freshman Alyssa Kush and sophomore Lorena Pintar and sophomores Julia Ramos and Mariaspa Kotsiou both lost 6-4.
Pintar got the Bobcats on the board with a straight set 6-3, 7-5 victory, followed by a marathon 0-6, 6-2, 7-6 comeback win by Kotsiou. Kush also went the distance, but couldn't pull out a recovery of her own, falling 7-5, 3-6, 6-2.
With the loss, Frostburg ends the season at 11-11, while Salem finishes their year at 10-7.
