Men's Tennis Defeated by Charleston on the Road

CHARLESTON, W. Va. – The Frostburg State Men's Tennis team was defeated on the road by Charleston (WV), falling by a score of 7-0 on Saturday afternoon. 
 
The powerful freshman duo of German Diaz and Cole Alcala fell just shy in their doubles match, falling by a close score of 6-4.  Freshman Noah Fisher and senior Dean Waterman dropped their singles match coming up short in a 6-2 score. 
 
Diaz (6-2, 7-5) and Alcala (7-5, 6-2) put up a solid effort in both their singles matches, falling in both No. 1 and No. 2 singles.  Fisher showed a solid effort in his singles match as well, falling 6-1, 7-5 in the No. 4 slot. 
 
With the loss, Frostburg falls to 4-13 on year, while Charleston improves to 12-4.  The Bobcats will be back in action on Monday, April 17 as they will host Salem (WV) for a match time of 3 PM.  For more information and updates, please visit frostburgsports.com.
